Getting your  Employer to Support Raksha
Corporate Grants, Matching Gifts, Workplace Giving Programs
Before you make out your personal donation, check with your employers to see if they provide matching gifts to organizations you donate to or if they match your volunteer time with donations.
Your employer may support the organizations its employees volunteer and donate to.  Check with your employers corporate foundation or community relations offices to see how they support non profit organizations in the community.  You can be an ambassador for Raksha to find out if Raksha’s work fits within their giving guidelines.  If there is a good fit, you can coordinate a meeting between Raksha staff and your employers’s  foundation representatives  or make Raksha’s staff aware of the grant guidelines.  It is always helpful when an employee of a company helps champion Raksha’s work.
Raksha is part of two workplace giving campaigns. So if your employer encourages its employees to donate to non profit organizations through Georgia Shares  http://www.georgiashares.org/ and United Way, http://www.unitedwayatlanta.org/ you can give to Raksha.  Raksha’s Specific Care code for United Way of Atlanta is 401.
Many Raksha volunteers and supporters have asked their employers to help support Raksha’s fundraisers and community events.   Raksha is always looking for Corporate Sponsorship of our programs and fundraisers.  Please check with your employers Marketing Department/Corporate Relations/ Corporate Contributions Department to see how they can support Raksha’s work, what their deadlines are and what they need to sponsor an event.
