Presents… Atlanta Desi Idol
Raksha's annual fund raising event Ek Shaam Raksha Ke Naam held its very first Atlanta Desi Idol Song and Dance competition on November 4th at Center Stage, in midtown Atlanta. 31 aspiring singers and 12 very talented dancers auditioned in mid October and were judged by a panel of professional singers and dancers. The top 10 best singers and dancers were chosen to perform live at Center Stage. The competition became even fiercer in the 2nd round as 4 participants were chosen by judges to enthrall the audience yet one more time. Both judges and audience voted for their very first Atlanta Desi Idol in this 2nd round.
Raksha and the Ek Shaam - Atlanta Desi Idol team are proud to announce the winners and runners up of the Song and Dance competition. We must note that all the participants were extremely talented and are idols to us. We were all amazed by the talent we have locally and were very fortunate to have such exceptional performers give their time and talent to help the Atlanta Desi Idol event such a success.
